Background:
Usually I get mail, responses, rating increase, or comments at a particular cadence. I can also engage others and trigger responses etcetera. If I go on a binge either in CV or another SE site, and make some good answers or comments it usually triggers a response.
Observation:
In the last week or so it appears that the level of engagement of others on my stuff has fallen off of a cliff.
Thoughts:
I have several thoughts:
- final exams for the spring semester reduces student/teacher visits
- spring break or similar reduces visits
- maybe I said something they don't like (I induced it)
- perhaps this is a personal issue, like an undigested bit of meat giving me sensitivities here (it doesn't exist outside my perceptions)
- maybe SE has implemented user-specific "gray-listing" and I was moved down in my social credit score
The last would otherwise seem draconian, totalitarian, and fundamentally evil, but given how they treated Monica, and admins since then, it is no longer inconceivable.
Question:
Have there been any announcements of fundamental changes rolled out in the last week or so?Has anyone else experienced phenomena consistent with "algorithmic variable gray-listing" that isn't reasonably attributable to other sources?
